I'm off to Colchester this weekend with my OH to badger Heppers (it's also OH's birthday).

OH wants to go out for Curry on Saturday night, and I can see that there's half a dozen houses to choose from, but what would the most honourable peeps here suggest?

(and we're not staying at Hotel Hepburn before anyone asks!)

edit: off to bed now, so keep it clean while I'm away please!

Manna Tandoori is supposed to be quite nice, although never been (and it's only 3 min walk from my house lol)

Theres one at the bottom of the high street few doors down from jessops.

Curry India... down the road from heppers :D

Is that the one next to the hospital arms Jordie? If so, that's one i've been told elsewhere is good, as is the one at the bottom of East hill by the level crossing (name unknown as yet). I've also been told there's a very good one at Manningtree, but again waiting on a name for it.

Its is indeed. My mates dad was in part ownership at one point

ooh. not quite walkable for me (and I'm not joking!), but one to bear in mind.

Where have been young man? I've often wondered where you disappeared to. Did you decide to stick with College or venture out to the big wide world?

I live in Colchester and I would recommend Alishan Tandoori (Osborne Street, Opposite Gala bingo) and Villa Tandoori (about 2 miles outside of Colchester town in a Village called Stanway) :notworthy: . Both serve amazing food and have traditional Indian restaurant décor :). Ashiana Tandoori on Magdalen Street is also worth a try, it's owned by the same people as Alishan and had a very modern feel to it.

Personally I was never impressed by Curry India, had the worst curry of my life there. Never been back :gag:

I well fancy a curry for dinner now :)
