I've had an email from Adobe offering me CS6 for £333.

Whilst on their site I get a nice chap called Robert from Adobe asks if I am having a nice day and can he help me!? :)

During our chat he mentions Lightroom 4, that if buy that at the same time as CS6 I can have it for just £72, normally about £100.

Until then I have never looked at LR4, so I've downloaded a trial, looked at some you tube tutorials and am liking what I see.

I don't think I need CS6 and LR4.

So my question is this ... Should I go for CS6 at £333 or stay with Elements 10 and get LR4 for £100?

Is the £233 extra worth it?

Thanks.

in my opinion no unless youre doing edits that the others cant do.

Must agree with Neil, LR4 does everything for me, that I need, except cloning.

I think what Neil means is that cs6 will do things like content aware fill and if you really need this then lr4 will not suffice.

I have lr4 and cs4 and have not touched cs4 since getting light room if that helps.

It does help thanks.

I looked at the content aware feature and it is pretty funky but for me I can only see it as a novelty feature. Moving somebody or something, I just can't see the point unless for some comedy value. At my level of photography.

But PS Elements also has content aware fill and is a lot cheaper than CS.. LR and PSE make a useful combination.

I was only using that as an example but I did not know pse10 had that. Learn something everyday.

I'm running LR4 and to be honest I only drop into Photoshop for a few features that Lightroom doesn't have. To be honest if I didn't already have Photoshop I probably would be happy with Elements.
