Hi yesterday I was doing some editing in Photoshop CS6 I left it on when going for supper. When I came back something strange happened, I could not use some of the tools, got a message saying this tool not in standard version.
Well CS6 is only in Extended as far as I know, and as it had been working all OK before, I checked on the pref/performance tab only to find out that GPU was not on and was grayed out????
I shut it down and re opend CS6 and all was back to normal.
Any know have an idea?

It could be a driver issue I guess - by now you'll have rebooted which may have fixed it, unless theres more to it.

I'f you're on windows look at the system and application event logs to see if there are any clues.

Re boot lol I never reboot myself, its left on stand by.
Ok I find and check the log and see if I can see what happened.

That's probably your issue. When you say standby, I assume you mean suspend to memory (S3 standby)? Your machine probably just crashed, or had a memory access issue on wake up. Always save work and shut down IMO.

I understand where you coming from BUT I had been using PS for a few hours, when I say on standby It is not with anything other then outlook running PS is closed down, and after closing PS and re opening it It was back to normal.
So It must have been to do with PS.

Have you actually rebooted yet, I'm unsure from your replies

it is not happening now. but yes I do reboot at times as well.
I find there are less problems with a system left on then turning it on and off lots of times.
I do clean the system myself and clean the Reg as well.
