CS6 + Nik Software, Windows 7 64bit - issues :(

Hi all,

Currently have CS6 installed on my Windows machine.
Downloaded the free demo of the Nik software which opens fine within PS but PS crashes as soon as I attempt to import the image back again as a layer.
Have tried the GPU settings in the NIK software but issue remains.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
 
That might be the reason - not enough RAM. I had trouble running Photoshop at the same time as other editors/plugins when I had 16GB. Problem stopped when I doubled it to 32GB.
 
I'm no help, just registering interest as I'm having the same problem, Win7 with 4gb worked fine for a while but as of last week just crashes at various stages, sometimes barely even get to start Nik, the other PC though on Win8.1 with 6gb of ram Nik is working fine o_O
