CS6 getting rid of the marching ants !

How do I get rid of the "marching ants" after using the polygonal lasso and edit fill content aware in CS6
at the moment I,m clicking on and using the crop tool to get rid of it but there must be an easier way

here,s the end result , I got rid of an ear tag on the deer

And if you want them to still be there but hide them so they are not in the way, then use control H, but remember to repeat the control H to make them visible again before you get rid of them or they will not show the next time you select any thing
