just got cs5 can some one tell me how to undo somthing
ie if i use the gaussian filter blur how to go back a few strokes if possible without taking all away

Make sure the history pane is open. Go to Window and open History. Click above the bit you want to forget.

Sorry Holty, just re-read your post, did you mean how to reverse something you were in the middle of, i.e. selecting something? Sometimes pressing the ESC button will undo part of a process.

Use Cntrl + Alt + Z continue to tap until you get to the place you want to be, or as above use your History
