CS5

Didn't someone in Britain invent a cs5? :bonk:

And after using Photoshop CS5 on it it look like this

Good grief. That content-aware stuff is pretty amazing.

Ian.

That content-aware fill for the panoramic shot was amazing to watch. Must admit I had to check it wasn't the 1st April today. The simulated sky and bottom hilly mountain contour area looked too real!

That is amazing.

One day, we might have a 'Create Super Image' button.

Just need to decide between design standard at about £190 or design premium at about £280. Then lightroom 3 at about £90!!!

Student discounts, don't you just live em. (prices rounded up from current CS4 prices!)

I had design premium CS3 but when I checked out CS4 I decided that I wasn't paying that much to update a few small things so only got photoshop CS4 on it's own although I did get a deal with LR2 for about £140.

Premium adds dreamweaver, flash and flash encoder so will probably
not bother with them as the standard one has Photoshop, indesign, illustrator

Wow, that's quite something. Looking forward to seeing more of that.

Only wish I could get it at a student price :( I dont know any students :(

I've just spent an hour on you tube looking at CS5 video's now that's amazing and great for a PP noob like me, I'm going to start saving.

Only wish I could get it at a student price :( I dont know any students :(

I signed up for an Open University course in Forensic Science. It cost £150 and entitled me to buy the educational versions of Adobe stuff so I got a £450 discount on Web Premium CS4. It would have been £950 discount if I'd bought the Student version (but I may want to use it for commercial stuff).

If you just want Photoshop and aren't going to use it for commercial work then the Student version of CS4 is £150. So you can get it for a total of £300 (plus you get an interesting course to study). That's compared to the full price of £650.

Plus being an OU student entitles you to other cheap software. How about OneOne Plugin Suite 5 for £150 (normally £370 from WEX)? Or Microsoft Office for £30?

That £150 soon melts away amongst the potential savings.
