Hi all.

I have a script I downloaded sometime ago that basically applies a simple white and black border around an image and applies about 5% extra (black) to the bottom border for a signature.
The javascript text file allows me to write what I want the test to be (something like Sagrada Familia - Barcelona 2010 © myphotobrands ).

Anyway...
what does take a long time is positioning the text horizontally (left/right) because as I often crop images to portrait or landscape mode, and also various different sizes, i cannot think of a way for the script to apply my signature text to the centre of the image, offset from the bottom of the new black border by around 25 pixels.

As an aside, based on a landscape image of 12in x 8in, the font size I like is 10pts...but this is too large on a 6x4 image and so i would ALSO like to know if there is a way to apply a font size based on the size (resolution) of the image.

I am using lightroom 3 and CS5 if that makes any difference...i've created a couple of custom actions (default adjustments for portraits or sharpening, etc) that will be used as Photoshop droplets and hopefully, then allow me to automate a lot of the jpeg output effort.

cheers

Can you not just do this with watermarking in LR. You can apply a watermark when you export and it looks fairly configurable...

maybe, but i want to place it on a back/white borderand i don't think there is a convenient way of doing that in lightroom, unless I export to CS5 firstly to aply the border, and then back to lightroom to apply the watermark signature.

oh, i think i've just found it...
I (in CS5) select my background layer, and then select the text overlay layer...and then click the 'align horizontal centers' button :)
