Looking into recommended settings for CS4 and printing.
All my picture are defaulted to 240 PPI, which I assume is from the camera mp etc? As when I open a new window the PPI is default to 76.
Adobe recommends if you want to print to a 300dpi printer to set the ppi to 100. and to a 600 dpi printer set the ppi to 150.
This is because anything more than what the printer can print at could cause a worse quality image.
1. Is this true?
2. by reducing the ppi to 100 or 150 reduces the size of my images by quite a lot, so if I am printing a large print, say A3 or a good size pano, wouldnt it be best to keep the size as large as possible?
If any one can shed some light on this please.
