I think it comes down to your time available to learn PS and whether you want to pay for CC forever vs buying LR 6 standalone. Lightroom is much easier to learn than PS and with LR 6/CC, it's even easier to stay in LR and there may be less need to jump to PS, depending on what you want to do with your images. There is a reason why they are two different products and one cannot replace the other. As Denerec said, that Content Aware Fill in Photoshop is terrific and for me a must-have, along with other features. Another option might be LR 6 standalone + Photoshop Elements, which is much less expensive, more user friendly for beginners and you can jump to it from inside Lightroom just like Photoshop. To complicate things further though, there is speculation that LR6 may be the last standalone and in the future if you want the latest features you may have to go to CC at some point.
