Hi,
I am looking to buy CS3 or 4 and was just wondering if anyone has seen any good deals - I wass given a copy of CS2 which was a bit dodgey hence can't download the upgrade.

As i understand it, the big difference to CS4 is to be abole to edit videos.......
 
Cs4 also has a new masks palette, content aware scalling, supposedly better burn and dodge tools (I can't see much difference) it's got GPU for 3d rendering, extended depth of field feature.
Not to mention the new interface with tabed windows.
Quite a few of the other tools have been updated or improved. Probably the best reason to buy it is the camara raw 5.0, this has the local ajustment brush, and updates for the newer cameras, important if you shoot RAW. Wayne
 
In CS4 I've also noticed some of the tools have some additional functionality as well. Also I like the image stacking option, to extend DOF.
If you want the Video and 3D options you'll need the extended option of CS4
