Hi hope someone can help me.

I recently transfered a lot of slides to Jpegs, My mam was well pleased when i said I had a scanner type machine to do them.

Trouble is there was alot of unseen dust etc etc on the slides so I have messed around with them in cs2 to get rid of the dust and crop them etc etc , problem is when i save them they save in a different format so my pc will not open them.
I have to open them through cs2, trouble is i want to put them onto disc so my mam can view them on her dvd player on the tv, is there a way of changing the format back so they can be viewed, on my pc and on her dvd player.
Hope this is explained properly so you can answer it.

Thanks

Spike

With cs2 if you have edited, it will normally save as a Photoshop file. If you open the file again and choose to export as... Then choose jpg. It will then give you the option of jpg quality 1-12. Hope this helps?

When you save them, they are probably saving as a .psd file which is the native file of Photoshop.

Select 'Save As...' instead, and you will then be able to choose the file type you save them as, such as .jpg, .tif, etc.

Edit: Damn that sneeze mid-reply that slowed me down! ;)

Nothing is working.

I tired to open it again and save as this time but it does not give me an option of Jpeg, lots of others but not Jpeg.

Go to image/mode and check it's 8 bits, also if theres more than one layer you'll have to flatten the layers into one or you won't have the jpeg option.

ok will try this

Sorry to be so inexperienced at this only had the program a little while and waiting for a how to book to come through.

Edit: ok flattend the layers and its saved as a j peg

Thanks
