Crows invading robins and finches nests?

I've got big Lime tree in my garden which became home for many finches and robins. Yesterday I've noticed lots of interest from crows, especially on higher branches. I started to worry that eggs and/or hatched youngsters may become their victims.
There used to be lots of noise, playing on the tree but now it seems more quiet. Should I stay on guard or should I put my air gun down?:shrug:
