Crotal Bells 52 for 2025. Week 49 High Contrast Week 50 Past Week 51 Reflections in Glass Week 52 New

A lovely Kite silhouette and I like that the stained glass window gives a glimpse of the outside.

That stained glass is lovely - and a great silhouette as well.

I like these both. I particularly like how the top clear panes of the window are "blank" and then there are is texture within the three clear panes at the bottom.

Two good shots for those themes.

Thank you all, really appreciate the feedback.

Two good shots there to add to your stream. I see there is a slight vignette in the silhouette which works just fine for me, and the 'almost mono' suits the window.

Love the stained glass window, in my opinion stained glass is one of those tricky shots that is frequently ruined by the overuse of HDR tool. You have nailed it there Keith.

Thanks lads, much appreciated.

Just catching up - three totally different images, but all very emotive and atmospheric so they work brilliantly as a set, despite covering three themes!

Great Silhouette. As someone who lives in High Wycombe (and sees Red Kites all the time) it's pretty distinctive. (Hope I'm right now I've said that)

Stained glass is good. Shame there wasn't more sun as I bet that looks great with some really strong, yellow light coming through.

You are correct sir, a Red Kite, they started showing up in Bedfordshire a few years back and we have plenty of them now.
Great shout on the window, I'll have to try and get back there on a sunny day.

Nice Crocus - I was tempted to do one similar :)

Well broken I’d say, car not that old?

I don't think that should be in the field!

Ouch! Good spot.
It's been sitting there for weeks, at least back into January. I see it every week on my way to the A1 junction at Sandy in Bedfordshire.
Looks like it veered off the road directly behind it and slid onto the fields edge.
When the "broken" weekly subject came up, it was time for a picture.

There was a car in a ditch near me - very close to the road, very easily recovered (in my ill-informed opinion). The back was sticking out into the narrow road a little, so causing some traffic hold ups. It stayed there for almost three months before it was removed.

Broken car? Broken Britain more like!

Sorry to get political.

Nice shot for broken. That'll buff out :)
