Although i hate working on car electrics, I tend to find myself doing it more often these days which brings me to my question, last year I bought what I thought would be a decent ratchet crimping tool and to be honest its absolutely crap, so can anybody recommend a decent crimping tool?

Maybe tell folks the make & model that you have to avoid folk suggesting the same?

Having said that I never needed crimping tool for car work..... but did get an RJ plug tool a good while back from Maplins. If I was looking for any electrical based tools I would look at RS supplies as a first step.

Hope you can find what you seek :)

I’ve got some little snap on ones that nip, cut, strip and crimp terminal collars. Not even that expensive really but they do everything I need electrically speaking apart from folding over tiny terminal lugs but I have a special set for those, although before I bought those I just used the above mentioned set with the nippy ends to fold them over.
