Can anybody explain to me what happened today at the cricket. On Sat afternoon England were over 300 for 3 to Sri Lanka's 257 all out and today we are staring at defeat. Did they teleport the game to Sri Lanka for the last two days, was this really Headingley were our seamers were out bowled by the Sri Lankans, seamers mind not spinners!

Surely Cooks gotta go, especially if as it seems they beat us tomorrow, very poor captaincy and even worse batting.

We are sure to lose now. Sri Lanka's first test series win in England.

Why? That's a tough one.

Given that test cricket is a lot to do with psychology, I think England believed that wins against a weak Australia, together with a brief spell at no.1, meant they were better than the rest.

The Sri Lankans are more determined and more passionate than our players.

Cook is way too defensive and cautious IMO.

England have never understood the philosophy of the Aussies or the great Windies teams - crush the opposition like the insects they are.

Finally, I don't know this but I sense that England's management manage by stats and tick boxes. We need a Darren Lehmann.

Oh, and maybe Sri Lanka are just a better side,
 
Well, a heroic, towering, monumental display of courage, concentration and patience by one individual, Moeem Ali, nearly saved England - but not quite.

I'm very happy for him, and for the Sri Lankans TBH, but not for English cricket.
 
For anyone that says test cricket is boring, they should have watched the final sessions of both the Sri Lanka tests. Proper edge of the seat stuff, I could hardly bear to watch yesterday evening.

The Sri Lankans deserved the victory, but I was gutted for Anderson.

Cooks record is poor and he really ought to be sacked, actually if he had any self respect he really ought to resign.

I dont believe that, we have a group of talented individuals who just dont seem to be able to play as a team, its a real shame.

I agree Sri Lanka deserved the win but feel sorry for Anderson and Ali
