well, we love Bake off and thought we would enjoy this but those judges, especially the patronising one called Clark.. Obnoxious. The French guy from le Manoir is quite positive but really... The woman from the Langham Gets a ruler out and moans on... The scoring system is a nonsense.

I don't know how much is in the editing, but the judges do come across as fairly grumpy. By grumpy I really mean obnoxious.
 
It is rubbish, love the normal one but they are all so up themselves. Dire.
 
I've not heard of it. I assume it's a spin off with pro bakers is it? The Mrs will like it I'll let her know.

Up to episode 4 now. You'll get them on iplayer. It's quite amazing how often the professionals fail and how difficult it is to like the show. I wanted to, but it just lacks engagement.
 
Oh I love this program. Judging is harsh and soundbitten for the TV but generally fair. I find I can pretty accurately guess the scores from their feedback.

If I buy a cake in a shop I want it to be the same size as every other cake there so no, a ruler doesn't seem an outrageous thing to use for judging.
 
I don't! I want there to be a BIG bit so I can smile sweetly at the serving girl and get her to give it to ME!!!

Since my doctor told me not to lift anything heavier than a sack of spuds, I can no longer get my "bit" out by myself.
