Creative Cloud question

I have just purchased a 1 year subscription to Photoshop CC

On the main screen at the top there is what I would describe as the header File - edit - image - layer - type - select - filter - 3D - view - window - help

I did notice when looking at tutorials on Masking etc there are 3 coloured dots on the Header which make the selection tool you use have a coloured glow / circle around the tool to enable better direction./ selection etc

My question is: How do I get this option on my header as presently it's not displayed? It looks like a useful option

as shown on this tutorial as soon as the user selection the selection tool around the 20 sec mark on the video

Hi Les, Do you mean the Red,Amber and Green buttons? If so they are the close, minimise and maximise buttons as the operator is using a Mac and don't relate to masking tools. The Red halo you see around the tool is a programme thats used by YouTubers so their viewers can keep track of the pointer when he is working on the subject.

You do have a few options within Photoshop itself to change the pointer to make it more visible but they won't give you the red circle you see in the video without the extra third party software installed on your computer.
