Creative Cloud LR & PS help

Hi everyone.

I'm currently running my windows PC with Lightroom 3 and Photoshop CS5 and looking to join the creative cloud with Adobe and have the most up to date versions.

When I start can anyone explain what will happen?

Will my versions just update or will it require fresh installs of both? Meaning I will need to reattach my catalogues to the new version.

Lightroom should be able to install and keep your current catalog. That said, as is the general advice on updating, make sure you have a separate backup, store elsewhere, in case there are any issues.

I believe you have the option to keep CS5 and still install PS CC.

Once you're up and running, the CC application, will check for and advise you of updates, so you can keep current.

Meant to also add, it's a good time to go to CC, as Camera raw 8.8 has just been released and I believe Lightroom 6 is due in the very near future.
