I am just about to hit the buy button on the annual subscription offer for Lightroom CC and PS CC, however I am reading about people having issues with it freezing and not updating properly (creative cloud facebook page) anyway I was wondering if anyone here is having issues, anything major that is, if so I may just stick with Lightroom 5 and CS6 till Adobe resolve things, it seems their are a few disgruntled customers on their facebook page, complaining about Adobe's very bad customer service resolving issues.

Just to add, I am using windows 7

I have no problems so far.
I am on OS X though so I don't know about win 7 version.

Also search around for discounts. I saw something the other day which was less than £7 per month but I cannot remember right now.

Thanks, yes I think the one you are referring too is the £6.85 pm via the Creative live website for Creative live customers, that's the link I was using anyway, runs till Sept 30th, I actually signed up for it on Saturday using paypal, however for some reason it hasn't gone through, I contacted Adobe today, and they said it was pending, and I may have to try again tomorrow, then I started reading about the complaints on facebook, which made me think about holding fire on it, hence my original post on here.

I've been using it since December 2013 with absolutely no issues. Have it installed on my iMac and on my Macbook Pro. When i took it up originally it was £8.78 per month. Then it dropped to £8.57. I've just recently cancelled and immediately renewed to take advantage of the £6.98 per month offer. It's super value for money as far as I'm concerned.

I took advantage a few days ago of the under seven quid offer and im very happy with it. Also using W7 with no problems.

Been using it for a while, no problems whatsoever. Good value for money, well worth it IMHO.

When I downloaded CC it was very slow but after reading about Lightroom Graphics Processor Acceleration (GPU) and turning it off, I've had no problems whatsoever, it's very quick and smooth.

Only issue I keep getting is that it can't call home ... irritating as I have good Internet and I can always resolve it by forcing a sign out/sign in.

I have been using it on both a MBP and now a Surface Pro3 no issues at all

I had to turn it off as well.
No problems after that.

Lightroom froze on Saturday a couple of times for me where I had to shut it down and restart....but then again I did have footy streaming in HD at the same time on my Android box. I guess it's hitting the cloud frequently so a bottleneck in your broadband might affect it?

Anyone else here like me who cancelled existing plan to take out the £6.98 plan and have just been hit with two direct debits - one for £8.57 and one for £6.98......?

Not yet! But I'll keep an eye out.

Did you receive emails confirming the cancellation of your original subscription? What does it say on your Adobe 'Plans & Products page? Mine shows the old expired plan and the new current £6.98 plan.

I'm not expecting any problems as I received notice via emails of my original plan cancellation, warnings of expiring subscription; and my Adobe account shows one active plan and one expired plan. Just checked my bank account and there's no extra payment, the old plan was billed on the 30th of each month. However, I will now keep an eye on the situation - thank you.

I hope you get things sorted quickly and easily.

Got it sorted. I logged into CC and both accounts were showing and both were active! No hassle it has to be said getting it sorted via the 24 hour online help. Refund in 5-7 days.

Not sure why this should happen, surely Lightroom doesn't get affected by the internet connection as it's standalone software on your PC, surely the only time Lightroom would be affected is if it was downloading updates.

Not everybody's computers are set up in the same way as everyone else. Each of us will have customised our computers, changed settings, updated or not updated, installed different software, and all that.

Just because others are having problems with their Lightroom CC and Photoshop CC do not meant everyone including you will get the same problems. It will only depends on your machine and your software's set up. I have both LR and PS from CC on my Windows 7 Professional Edition and so far, working fine.

You have paid for LR 5 and CS6, is there a reason why you wanted to throw your money away by going for CC..? You could stay with your LR 5 and CS6 for years to come if you're rather worried about the CC ones playing up.

I'm assuming the CC tools are authenticating with the cloud periodically, in the same way Office 365 does. Maybe I just need a new lap top lol.

Yes, but if you lose connection with the Internet, there is something like up to 90 days or something like that, where you can use any of the Adobe CC software on your computer to work with, until they sort of gets put on hold until it had a chance to get back to the Internet and check with Adobe. After all, you could be paying monthly membership, and what's to stop you cancel the monthly membership, then disconnect from the Internet to keep using the Adobe CC software on your computer.

No problems at all with mine. Have it on two machines and it works very well

I had to remove LR & PS yesterday as the PS file wouldn't open through LR or individually. Same again today so will need to contact Adobe support. Using Windows 7 64 bit machine.

If you cancel before 12 mnths you have to pay 50% to adobe so be sure its what you want.

It was just because of the cheap price really and getting permanent updates, however it proved to much hassle in the end, every time I tried to pay via paypal it wouldn't do it, and it turned out it was a problem with the Adobe site, when I contacted customer service it was abysmal, various speaking via live chat proved uneventful, then they kept me waiting for 20 minutes on the phone to speak to someone, so I gave up in the end, I just thought if they can keep me waiting this long just to purchase their product, what would happen if I had a future problem with it, and the fact what bad feedback they have in general for customer service just made my mind up, if I hear a lot different in the future I may change my mind, but I am not holding my breath.

I had a problem initially as it took an age to load, CS5 loaded much quicker, I have since added an SSD to my mac and just have the OSX and apps on there and now it flies.

Had no problems since going over to cloud based, except for getting plug ins working initially and a minor blip after upgrading over the weekend to the next iteration of cc. But it was all fine next the morning and in the interim I just used an older version of PS.

Still possible to buy CS6 from what I understand, but Adobe don't make it easy via their site, and it still costs around £500, you could probably pick up older versions via ebay
