Hey guys just wated to know if someone could tell me how to make an action so i can use in batch to resize all my images.

What i want is it to do both landscape pictures and portrait pictures all in one go instead of splitting them into 2 folders and 2 different actions.

Hope i have explained what i want to do rite lol

Cheers

Do you realise you can do this in File > Scripts > Image Processor?

I didn't know about that Hacker. I usually just do all resizes in Lightroom but that could come in handy. Thanks

Otherwise go to actions, drop down menu in top right of the little window, click New action, it is now ready to record and you can carry out the action to record. When you have finished the action, click the stop button at the bottom of the action window (next to the red record arrow).
Now go file> automate>batch. In the 'batch' window , drop down the actions and pick up your new action, choice files to work on and if you want to save them, choose where.
or choose 'none' to carry out the action on open files which you want to leave open.
It sounds long winded but it is quick and easy.

Try a creating a droplet. Just create and action and link it to a droplet that can be left on your desktop and then files can then be dropped onto its icon and it's a totally automated process; you don't need to open the files to use the action.
