I bought a decent background stand and a white muslin background a while back. I finally got around to trying them out the other day. The background was very creased so I found a handy tip on line where you spray it with warm water. This worked really well on the vertical part. But what about the floor part? Now I could use my background stand as a hanger and work it over, spraying with warm water, but there will still be creases from where people walk on it. Where you can get the distance between subject and vertical BG to blur creases (well if you've got more room than me you can, I only have a length of 3.5 metres between camera and BG) you cant with the floor.

Any ideas please folks, apart from paper or vinyl?

Also is 3.5 metres workable?

There was another background creases thread yesterday, maybe some ideas there?

If not a handy bump to get those knowledgeable folk in :D

Gaffer tape. Tape the edges taut to the floor, then spray *lightly*.

Alternatively hang it so the floor section is vertical, spray it to remove the creases, then lay it out fully and tape it down.
Thank you (y)

Gaffa tape, of course. It had to be that or WD40, but I can't see how WD40 could help ;)
