I'm sure he would too. I wasn't belittling the evolution process and indeed, don't subscribe to the argument that is offered sometimes that the olden days were the best, "when photography was 'pure'".

I'm sure there were a few back then that were considered "out there" at the time as well.

was it ever pure lol I've often heard that Ansel spent 2 years on & off in darkroom to perfect one picture. truth or myth i've no idea.

i didnt like hdr at 1st as every picture i saw was over done but the more ive got into photography ive seen very subtle hdr images which i do like and 1 day i wanna give it a go

Im quite happy to say that i think 95% of those 40 were horrid...
