Having a team night out at crazy golf tonight with work and I'm taking the camera... Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for good photo's

One of the more standard golf shots that I've seen was done by lying down next to the hole, using a very high aperture to blur out the background and then getting one of the players (preferably one that you trust ) to go for the putt.
If it's a large/fancy course then some really nice framing opportunities should show up under arches, features, etc.
May also be a nice idea to go for some really moody & dark B&W shots to contrast with all of the crazy colours?
Good luck anyway, looking forward to the pics as I think it'll be an interesting & different subject to photograph

Yeah thought it might be something different.... Really looking forward to it as apparently its a brand new course so should have some fancy features... I like the idea of some moody B&W shots though as although I'm just starting out I'm finding that I like B&W over colour for alot of things.

Maybe that is just the lack of colour hiding a bad photo though :)

B&W is very difficult to get right as it's all about tones to separate each different element rather than relying on colours instead. Different images call for different processing, just use whatever suits.

I would however try to actually shoot some images specifically for B&W - try to think about the image as tonal ranges & contrasts rather than shooting for colour & then thinking that it doesn't matter as you can always save it post processing

Hmm, that's interesting actually as I have always shot with the oppinion of I'll shoot in colour then see if it looks good in B&W post processing, never occured to me to think about it before hand, downside of digital I guess...

as a slight side note is there any guides on here for how to take good B&W photos, things like what to consider and lighting etc.
