Hi Guys,

*i know its a matter of taste

Looks like an overlay, in photoshop, the light pattern is a separate layer. You could either use masking or just the eraser tool, to delete some of that layer to reveal the couple on the other layer underneath.

That / those effects are not shopped in. Think glass, lighting and reflection.

Im pretty sure that this is not an effect but some clever shutter dragging, think around 1/4 sec exposure, some fill flash on the people and panning with the camera, should donit
Or take some photos of pretty lights add skme motion blur in ps then layer you image on top

Very possible. But look at the shape around the couple. Looks too 'cut-out'.

Is this the third or 4th thread you've started, asking how to recreate a 'look' in processing that's almost certainly been done in camera?;)

I suggest getting away from the computer and learning some photography:) Once you've got that nailed, you'll learn how to enhance / improve / cheat in photoshop.

I apologise if that sounds harsh, but really? Good photographs start with good camera skills. Though plenty will tell you how stuff 'could' be done in Photoshop, they can't take a crap picture and prove it. Pick your camera up and practice:thumbs:.

Point taken! Although the answers have prompted me to look into areas i didnt know existed, so thanks for all replies!

Which is great:thumbs:, my issue is the assumption that it's done in post or could be recreated in post. Which is how the questions are always phrased and often answered (often incorrectly).

have you tried asking the photographer that took it?

Post in the PP section on here! Or, get used to your camera, ask your better half if she has any small bits of sparkly jewellery, hanging sequins / swarovski beads / glass beads etc etc just in front of the lens to capture some glare. Much quicker and easier than taking a photo then spending some time in photoshop!

I reckon that's done in camera by shooting through cheap glass jewellery or glass beads/prisms.
