just started to get involved in photography and was advised to go for the starter pack Canon EOS 1000d, so ordered this kit plus lenses tripod, bag etc from Crazy Cameras thinking they were uk based company :and have not received,,,,, have tried to contact them using all available means to no avail, has anyone used this company and more importantly has anyone actually received their goods ,i am very worried that i have been scammed??
 
yes i paid with credit card will notifiy with immediate efffect thanks for your speedy replies,,,, this photography hobby sure is turning me grey.
 
If you want Canon kit PM Kerso for a price a respected dealer / member here at TP with lots of happy customers. - Hope you get get a nice speedy refund.

wont be able to purchase anything until i get this mess sorted as credit card company have no record of problems associated with this company so will have to wait the 30 days ????? to see what happens, i was wondering is there a law for masquerading as a uk based company ?? i think its time to lobby my MP and get him to work for his expenses,
 
I think you'll get your kit from Crazy Cameras - a friend of mine bought a lens from them which took a while but arrived ok.
 
Update on Crazy Cameras.

A legal friend instructed me to issue a section 75 under theConsumer Credit act 1974. to my Credit Card Provider and to notify Crazy Cameras of my intention ??? and low and behold I received an email this morning autherising me to cancel my order online. which was all very polite. :D
The law behind this

This all comes from Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974, hence why this is sexily named Section 75. It rather impenetrably says…

75. — (1) If the debtor under a debtor-creditor-supplier agreement falling within section 12(b) or (c) has, in relation to a transaction financed by the agreement, any claim against the supplier in respect of a misrepresentation or breach of contract, he shall have a like claim against the creditor, who, with the supplier, shall accordingly be jointly and severally liable to the debtor.
