Cracked Sigma lenses

Is this a common occurance? Especially from the AF/MF button back towards the body of the camera?

sounds like it's been dropped, i've never has one that's cracked under normal use

Yeh, I bought a second hand 15 - 30, which the previous owner had dropped. It was cracked just as you describe. Still works perfect th0
