CPL Filter - Lens hood or not?

Hi all

If using a CPL Filter, whats the accepted practise on also using a lens hood...does it [should it] in anyway affect the performace of the filter?

I often use cpl and always a hood, never noticed any problems beyond the operation of the filter issue with the hood in the way!

providing the lens hood is a bayonet fitting rather than a "screw into the filter thread" type there shouldn't be a problem. With the screw in type, there's a possibility of getting vignetting by moving the hood forwards - if it's a petal type, you'll also have to faff around with the hood orientation every time you twist the pola. filter.
