Course Help.

Hi Guys,

Im looking at online courses at the moment im looking for a reasonably priced online course (Not got 500-600 spare at the moment) that starts right form the most basic of things. I've been reading books, magazines watching videos online etc but i really need to add some direction a pattern or a schedule to work to.

I've come across this Open University which by the look of it fits the bill BUT its to compatible with Mac OS which is no use to me. Anyone know of a similar online course in terms of ability and price? Or the reason why this isn't compatible with Mac, i have access to a copy of light-room already.

I know people who have done this course using a Mac. The only thing you can't do is make use of the free Adobe Elements which they only supply as PC version. If you have lightroom that will do for your editing.

There are Flickr groups for past students, you could ask them or conatct the course team in case they have changed it to block Mac users totally.

Any idea how i could find the flickr groups? EDIT got it.

If that's the only stumbling block i will go ahead with this i think.

Search for the course code T189 on Flickr when in the Groups tab..
 
Yeah found the groups on Flickr, i notice there are some pics that have been processed on a mac. I have mailed the OU to find out more.
 
Davo, im currently doing a ukopenlearning course, £264 and you can pay by installments, the course tutor is a professional photographer and there is a NCFE qualification at the end of it. there are 4 modules and 12 assignments, in addition there are numerous self assignments which you dont submit. website: www.ukopenlearning.co.uk
