I need to ship something of 7kg from Nottingham to Stockport. But DHL quoted £25! The cheaper quotes seem to be based on being a contract customer, which isn't an option to me. The package does not need to get there in a hurry.

Can anyone recommend any? Price being the important factor. :)

I think badgerbaiter means their Interparcel Titan service, which is provided by TNT.

I would never use DHL again. You can book `em thru Interparcel and they're cheap. Evidently too cheap.

You could send up to 8Kg by RM standard parcels for £11.40. No tracking but compensation is £1 or less per £100
and you don't have to hang around waiting for the collection.

parcel2go

its true couriers give preferential rates to contract customers, my rate of 20kgs anywhere within mainland UK is about £ 12

or post office - 1st class - £ 13
Special Delivery - £ 20 ish
Parcelforce 24 - £ 18 or £ 11.40 for their 3-5 day service

No badgerbaiter means exactly what badgerbaiter wrote :)

I take it that's the Interparcel Standard service?

Cheapskate that I am, I've nearly always used the Titan service, which was nearer to £11 before the VAT change. Now it's less:thumbs:

yeah, they are all colour coded.. the brown ones are UPS

i used to use parcel2go, but they use DHL who in my experience are crap.

I've pretty much used all the couriers and found them all to be rubbish compared to UPS. I've sold 1700 items on ebay, so i have a fair idea :)

the cheapest one on interparcel for 7kg (48 hour delivery non guaranteed) is DHL at @6.99 + VAT (£8.04)
but if you really want it to get lost its cheaper to put it in the bin :)
