Couple of Elements Questions

1. If I upgrade from Elements 8 to Elements 11 (by download) will my albums and all the tagging in the Organizer be affected, i.e., I don't want to set up all the albums again and retag thousands of images?

2. If I buy a new computer how can I copy over Elements while maintaining everything in my Organizer?
 
Nobody upgraded Elements, nobody transferred Elements to another PC?

Or is this the wrong thread?
 
I went from windows to mac so not much use, but from a quick google you should be able to upgrade and your files shouldn't be affected. I think you need to tell elements 11 that you upgraded and point it to the right areas but I'm not sure.

Oops didn't see number 2. I don't know how to do that :(

I went straight to Elements 10, so I didn't upgrade. But I seem to recall reading that you can have more than one version of Elements installed. If so, you should be able to import your current albums into the new version (if it doesn't happen automatically) while keeping their structure intact in the old version, and I believe the tags get imported with the albums.

As I haven't done any of this myself I don't recommend that you try it until you've asked in a more suitable forum, such as:
