I usually use Panamoz but they dont stock what I was after so decided to give Cotswold Camera a go.

Item bought am Friday and got a confirmation. Since then nothing, usually with Panamoz I would have recd something saying it had been dispathched.

Am I worrying about nothing?

Just email them, and ask the estimated delivery time, I don't always get updates from Panamoz unless I ask, so probably a bit early to panic.
 
Hopefully early this week then.
 
It's a bloke in his bedroom ordering from HK, that said there doesn't seem to be any issues dealing with them based on what TP members have reported.

Funny thing... Camera's I've bought are cheaper in Canada with taxes then they are in the UK or HK.

"We are photographers ourselves" implies more than one person
 
There are two directors listed at Companies House.
 
They've messed up the Co House data - the first one above is clearly not a second director, it's a personal address where the lower one was a correspondence address. So just one Director.

I ordered some OM Systems kit off of them at a seriously good price about 5 months ago. . Took 5 days for delivery and all working well on holiday in Mykonos as I type. I know others who have also used Cotswold Cameras without any issues.
 
Having looked again, he must be the company secretary as well as a director.
 
I ordered from them a few weeks ago after a few emails between us and they made sure it got out to me in time for my holiday.

I would use them again without a doubt
 
Just keep calm and don't worry - I've bought a couple of items through them recently and it's normal nothing happens for about a week.
In most cases they are from Hong Kong its no secret.
But due to bulk buying or shared shipping costs he can often be significantly cheaper than e-infinity or panamoz.
Usually it will arrive in about 10 days maybe two weeks depending on weekends.

There will not be any additional fee there may be some kind of delay in customs but I've not seen that.
A few items are already in the UK and will be much faster.

No - one entry is for Mr Fleet as a Director, the other is for him as Company Secretary - different functions/responsibilities.
 
There seem to be two entries

Cotswold Cameras LTD Company number 09101906 and Cotswold UK Cameras LTD Company number 14313543

The Chinese guys are company secretary and Director in 2022 for the UK one

I expect and hope all will be OK for you. Is it clear from your documentation which co you are dealing with? I cannot find any evidence that CC Ltd is trading.
 
I had given thought to buying from this company for a Panasonic G9ii as they are advertising it for £400 less than RRP. Then given it a lot more thought and what crossed my mind is what is something goes wrong with the camera? warranty and insurance being the main things and is it worth it for saving £400? So changed my mind and going to by from one of the well known companies instead. Having and doing again P/X gives me enough money to make the decision for me. So decided not to use them

Not sure why it will take 4-7 days for the tracking info though
 
I bought a OM1-II from them placed the order on September 18th arrived 27th September The only grip I had and its not Cotswold Cameras fault was with FedEx most deliveries these days is that the day before delivery we normally are emailed/notified that the item is going to be delivered but FedEx it seems do not notify the day before

A minor gripe but I guess I have got used to so many deliveries being notified the day before

Not necessarily. It could have been a scam operation with the spelling slightly altered so that one would assume it was Cotswold Cameras.

Just because you usually get something different from Panamoz, its pointless comparing what another business does and using that as a concern.

They are a grey importer, which you already knew before you bought it.

Just phone them. I don't really get why people are posting screenshots of directors :rolleyes:

I don't mean you are the scammer if that's what you think. It's quite common for scammers to advertise a website with a slightly different spelling and hope someone bites. Maybe a couple of Ibuprofen and a lie down might help :)
