Cost of shutter for D3s?

I could just contact Nikon but has anyone replaced one and if so, how much did it cost, if you don't mind? :)
 
I had mine done on a D3 circa 147k actuations and from memory it came in around £700 inc vat. That was direct from Nikon UK.

Christ they saw you coming at £700, ive been quoted £350 by Fixation and Nikon themselves for a D3S

For £700 they must have done some more work as well.

(That's for a D3 from Nikon UK in January but I can't imagine why it would be different on a D3S)

Even if your rubber grips are OK then they trash them to get at the shutter and then charge you for new ones :)
 
Thanks guys, got the chance of a high miler so just trying to sort out a price :)
