Cosford Airshow this Sunday

Hi all, I've lived by Cosford for years and yes on the day the traffic can be horrendous. What you could do (which I do) is park your car in Albrighton and walk...only takes about 20-30 minutes but beats sitting in the car for that length of time. If anybody thinks of doing this you can park on the Crown carpark in the centre of Albrighton....and it's free.

Tim, any idea what time the crown opens for breakfast, going to speak to the guys I'm going with and try to convince them to avoid the motorway and come up via Bridgnorth and then maybe get some food local before we go into Cosford.

To be honest Lee I haven't got a clue! You could try ringing them on 01902 372204. There's 2 other pubs in Albrighton "The Harp" and "The Bush" very close to the Crown, you could try them.

yes there is an apache as well and i heard the typhoons today while fishing lol

Had a drive round the base tonight after work and saw the apache parked up, also 2 tucanos and I think the King Air, although that was over the far side of the runway.

hopefully the weather will be good anyway them typhoons dont half make some noise. Are the red arrows landing?

Did have it in the local press a few weeks ago that they were going to land, but looking at the RAF Shawbury website (under Events) it contradicts the reports. Pity really as it would have been something different. But who do you believe?!!
