This isn't about editing as such - I wasn't sure where to post!

I was doing a little housework (deleting RAW images that will never be used) and noted a RAW that was destined for the bin looked odd. Looks as though it's gotten coprrupt! No idea how!

Anyone had this before - this is what the RAW image looks like.

Thats happened to me recently as well, although the JPEG was fine and usable. I was wondering if it was a flash card being a fake problem, which i noticed a few days later

THe images were fine when imported - These go back to April and it's one of about 2000 shots from a nursery shoot. The only one (I have noticed like that).

I don't have any "fake" cards but I do have a couple of cheap cards that I use (a Dane-Elec 2Gb card and a non brand 1Gb CF card). These are generally only used in an emergency (last option) and can't see that I'd have used them at that time.

Seems odd. It's a file for deletion now anyway but just concerned now it may be on others. I checked the backup which is tyhe same but that's probably because I updated my backup recently.

Thanks for the thought though..... Could be the card but I'm sure I'd have noticed that in this set before now. I'm sure it's happened since it's been on the PC.

If it has happened on the PC could it be the first sign of a hard drive problem? Not something I have come across but logically that would make sense (not that PC problems follow any "normal" sort of logic!)

The files are the same on two drives but it could be I copied it across like that recently without noticing. THe drives have seemed fine. I'll make sure I get the backups up to date again :) THanks

THanks for that. It's a fairly new drive too 1Tb Seagate so I'll be looking for a replacement if that's the case.... Just need to make sure it's all copied now :)

THanks all for the warning.

Cheers
Jim
