I am intending to go to Corris Corner, and looking on lowfly.net the instructions to get there state "In between these gates is a gate( note this is private and permission should be sought before entering or using this track )"

There is no detail on HOW to get permission - I assume the landowner is not around most of the time, being a remote spot. Could anyone tell me how you go about seeking permission (phone number, local pub to ask in, email address etc)?

Many thanks

I felt uncomfortable using the gates to go up to Corris corner as it's on private land. On the gate it does say private land !!

I have spoken to the farmer who has spotted me using the gate...first ever trip to the corner!!!....and he said it was OK for this time. I do not want to pee them off so I looked at alternatives.

I have a very good contact at the Snowdonia national park and I asked her to check the area out.

The reply from her was ....use the lower lay by to park and hop over the fence (not high) you are then into free access land. They have asked the farmer for permission to put a style there but he has refused.

Good luck with the scramble up to the corner;)
