My boss knows I am a very keen photographer and we've discussed stuff that I've done over the previous weekend etc.

Today I get an email from the new Marketing Manager, asking me if I'd be interested in "taking pictures of the staff" doing their job etc, pictures of the board members and some relaxed shots of the staff as well.

I'm in a quandary.... If I went pro, this is the sort of stuff I'd love to be doing, Corporate work pays better than basic portraiture, and I'd still be around business.

So I think I want to do it. For the board members I'd like to shoot them at their their desk, but in a relaxed manner, not too stuffy. The general staff would be fairly easy to do, especially as we often work outside.

Has anybody got any experience of this type of work ?

I'm wondering if I would need studio type flash units to use in the offices ???

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I've not done this specifically, but being corporate, its easy to find examples all over the web (Just go to pretty much any website out there) if you're looking for inspiration.

I'd just go for natural light and some flashguns off camera. Wouldn't really see a need for studio lights that are more likely just going to get in the way, and wouldn't help with your relaxed plan.

An oft used trick is to use a plant or something as a gobo to flash through and make boring office walls a little more interesting as a background..
