i was out on the traditional rounds like i do every xmas and had my camera with me, like i do at most family get-togethers these days. my grandad was having a good play around with my dslr when he sent my grandmother to bring out an old camera he had in a cupboard years.

it was bought after the birth of their first child in 1956 and used twice before being put back in it's case and left in a cupboard.
from the condition it's in i assume it still works, so i'm looking to get a roll of film into it and get a bit of use from it. so if anyone has any experience of using one i'd be really interested in hearing from you. my experience of working with film is limited, and i know that this will have no metering, focusing or any other new-fangeledness(sp lol)

even something as simple as where to buy film for this would be helpfull

thanks in advance

for the age of it it really is in stunning condition

It uses 120 film and shoots a 6x9 frame, 8 shots a roll but they are big.
You should be able to walk in to jessops and buy some 120 film, maybe HP5 or Delta 400 b/w.
Alternatively, SilverPrint, 7Day, Mailshots will have 120 film in stock for you to order.:)

You've only got two apertures and two shutter speeds (plus bulb).. so it shouldn't be too confusing! Condition looks great.

Using old folders takes a wee bit of getting used to, but the slow pace and those big negatives are a nice change from digital.
