Corel Paintshop Photo Pro X3 - advice please

Currently I'm using Paint Shop Pro 7 together with Canon DPP, (Shooting raw+jpeg and struggling a bit with the software but will get there eventually!!) noticed today that Corel Paintshop Photo Pro X3 is just under £38 at PC world.
I'm thinking with my poor skills c£40 is all I'd like to spend
Surely this would be a massive improvement on psp7 and at a bargain price!!
Any thoughts/experience of this software would be much appreciated - thanks
 
It's a very good bit of software, I did start using version 8 but found it hard to get on with having come from photoshop. Once you get used to it there isn't much you can't do with it.

Went into PC World to pick up a copy psp X3 - price has risen to £79.99 from <£38 - ended up with Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 at £55 - Hope I won't be disappointed!!!
