copyright?

How do you put that wee copyright simple and my name on images that i have taken?

You use a new layer. the symbol code is alt + 0169 (it has to be the number pad keys though, not the keys above the letters), then you change the opacity of the layer.

Well, you learn something new everyday. Top tip - I didn't know that, should save messing with copying and pasting from other stuff

You can access thousands of characters (if you allow for all the different typefaces you have on your PC) in the same way. To see their "Alt+" code, open the Character Map.

In XP, Start>>All Programs>>Accessories>>System Tools>>Character Map

Click on a character and it will show you the necessary keystroke to access it in the bottom bar.

One thing to note, as I understand it the © symbol has no legal clout in the UK you must use the actual word Copyright, whereas in the USA © will do fine.

Surely using © or the word copyright on a photo is just to reiterate that you hold the rights.
