Copyright - some people think they're above the law

I came accross a local company with a watermarked (iStock) picture on their homepage. I emailed iStock at the end of January and they emailed back thanking me for letting them know and saying they will approach the cpmany directly as they take infringement of copyright very seriously.

Well where are we now? end of March - cearly they don't take it quite as seriously as they should because the picture is still there.

hmm, why use that photo when the others on that site are without watermarks.

The lorry is even driving on the wrong side of the road

Sounds like the standard corporate spiel "..we take this very seriously.... blah blah...".

Some poor sod is missing out on 10p of revenue too!

Might not be much of a loss in terms of money for the photographer but as far as I'm concerned it might be a sign that iStock are not a library I would want to contribute to
