As the title, i'm trying to type the copyright logo in cs4 but the alt code of 0169 aint doin anything. can any help please or am i doing something really silly here. Im on a dell laptop if the has anything to do with it.

it does work I've just tried it
 
Finally a use for the lonely program! Character Map! :D

Run/Search - %SystemRoot%\system32\charmap.exe
 
With a Dell laptop, you may need to "activate" the number keys by holding down the "Fn" key as well. (Numbers and Fn key normally have blue printed numbers on the keys.)

You're not the only for whom it doesn't work. It works in a Word doc.

On a notepad page it gives me just a c rotated anticlockwise on to its back.

Here, it gives me ○

In all cases, just the numeric keypad works.
 
Have you tried it with the numbers on the right ? or how about number lock ?

aha! finally :)

On my dell laptop you have to use th Fn and alt and use the blue numbers on the keyboard

so instead of alt 0169 it is Fn Alt MJO9
 
Sorry Ian, wasn't trying to steal your thunder. My post was a eureka moment as I'd always wondered why it didn't work on my dell laptop. ;)
