copy right sign

hi all,i`m trying to put a copy right on afew photos.
i cant seem to get it to work,iv been told its alt 0169 is that right ??
i`m using cs5 if that makes any difference.

Alt+0169 will do it but you need to use the numbers pad usually for it to work. If that fails it's in the shapes tool as a path which can then be made a selection and filled or strokes.

And if you still can't get it to work then look in the programs menu > accessories > system tools for the Character Map, where you can copy it to the clipboard.

and if that does not work copy and paste it from a web page, I can never remember the numbers but I think all TP pages have one at the bottom

On my keyboard it only works if i use the numbers on the right of the keyboard.

I've often wondered myself how it worked - © using the Alt+0169 as suggested on the right keypad -

Oddly, I can never get this to work in Lightroom, I always have to create the character in wordpad or similar and then paste it in.

I too have never been able to get it straight off my keyboard. This is the symbol mine produces ○

I use the character map, or copy it from elsewhere.

ALT+184 also works on my keyboard using the right keypad - ©
