Converting raw to jpeg

After taking my first shots in Raw, I have finished the adjustments in the Raw screen, how do I save the finished picture as a jpeg?
I use Elements 9.

I'm not sure about elements, but usually you just select...save as..and it should give you an option to save as a Jpeg

I click save and the only file extension showing is .dng, no jpeg option.

That may be because its a 16bit image? I always save my converted raws as .psd, then later save as a .jpg if I want to make them web size. I never save my 'finished' image as a .jpg.

If you click save theres a format option near the bottom with a drop down box, you should have tif, jpeg digital negative and photoshop options.
