Up until now I have always shot in RAW. However, shooting in JPEG makes for quicker downloading of files and no problems with the buffer of the camera filling up when on multiple shot.
The JPEG files out of the camera are 4896 x 3264 pixels - 68" x 45.33" - at 72 DPI.
To print, 300 DPI is the normal.
Question, is it OK to convert the JPEG image to a TIFF image at 1800 x 1200 pixels (6" x 4") but at 300DPI? That way I can re-edit the picture with no loss of quality, or am I being too simplistic?
