I have just done a pre-wedding shoot, happy with results. Changed a few to Black & white, re saved with new file name. Have now burned to dvd and those that I had resaved to B&W have reverted to colour. Thumbnails on dvd are colour but if open in picasa they are B&W, also in paintshop they are B&W but in photoshop they are colour. I shoot in raw, edit generally in paintshop or photoshop then save rename into jpg.
ANy ideas why ?

What happens if you view the jpegs in windows, are they colour or black and white? They can't really revert to colour once they are saved in B+W so I'm guessing it's some sort of display issue, maybe picassa is seeing the original rather than the updates saved version.
Is the dvd a slideshow or a data disk?

Picassa is seeing them in B&W.
DVD is just a data disk

All very odd

You have a problem with how the files are bring saved, but it's hard to tell from the info you've given exactly what it is.

What software did you do the editing in?
Exactly what settings did you use for saving the B&W versions?

If you are opening them in PS and they are colour then you can't have saved a B&W JPEG, as it only has one channel and the colour information is lost and can't be recovered.

I generally edit in Canon DPP and resave with new file name. Batch process to jpgs.
Uploaded to my website for client to view with no problem.
Its just when I burnt to DVD. Have burnt other to cd with no issue...cant believe that shoudl make any difference.
I may have reopened in photoshop and tweaked a bit but then not saved changes. Thats the only thing I have done differently.
