I have an Epson R3000. It doesn't get overworked with what I put through it but there is no doubt that cartridges are expensive - even buying a set off eBay costs £130+.

Been thinking about a continuous ink system - possibly Fotospeed. I'd be keen to hear views from those who already have this set-up.

I have the Fotospeed refillable cartridge system, easy to fill and has been trouble-free for me, and VERY cheap to run in comparison to genuine cartridges. No problems with colours either, and their bespoke colour profiles using their ink on your paper are simple to do, and the resulting prints definitely improve.

I will admit though that I had the (tubed) Inkflow system before the cartridges, but that was troublesome to me, so I purchased the cartridges and used the ink.

I did the same with David with an Epson 2880. A tubed inkflow system was fine but just awkward so I switched to refillable cartridges. Problem free and great quality. The fotospeed papers are excellent too and obviously work well with the inks. Customer service top notch too. Highly recommended.

There will probably be a deal to be had at the Digital Splash show in Preston on Sunday.
