Contact sheets?

Bit of an odd question but here we go...

On a 35mm contact sheet, if the pictures are viewed the right way round is the lettering on the film the right way round or reversed?

just a note to that - "sunny side up" so the shiny side, not the matt side, should be up in the contact printer

It would be the right way round. So when making a contact sheet, the neg goes the other way from printing as it's not reversed by the lens.

I had the problem could'nt work out which way was the right way. When i was doing my GCSE when i was making the contact sheet most of the time it was up-side-down. Also some of the final photos i did were around the wrong way as well.
