I've just got myself a Dell U2410 to connect up to my lappy. The laptop does not have a DVI port but does have an HDMI port and a port for a Display Port cable.

What is the best way to connect these up as I can only get a max resolution of 1920x1080 via HDMI but I know the max resolution of the screen is 1920x1200.

Can I get this max resolution via Display Port connection or is there another way to get it with my set up?

Thanks in advance for your help

Why do you think HDMI is 1920x1080 max? HDMI isn't limited to TV systems you know ;)

Once connected up and looking at the screen res pop up, it only goes to 1920x1080 (recommended) on the scale

Sure it's not a driver stopping hdmi from full res?

They're all digital connections so _should_ give the same res

Ive done the update driver for the graphics card and it says I have the latest one
