Connecting iPad to a stereo.

Forgive my VERY limited Tech knowledge :shake:


Ive just ordered my first iPad and was wondering what would be needed to connect it to my stereo.

The Stereo is only a basic system with (on the rear):

1x Red & White R/L AUX in 1 connector
1x 3.5mm AUX in 2 connector


Ive order a iPad dock which has a line out 3.5mm port.

Is it just a case of buying a male to male 3.5mm lead and connecting it from the iPad dock to the 3.5mm AUX in 2 connector on the Stereo.

Yes, that will work, as will a 3.5mm stereo jack to 2x RCA/Phono cable.

Cheers 'Gazza DJ'. Does it matter which way i connect it?? (Straight to the Aux with the 3.5mm jack or using the RCA AUX ports) Is one way better than the other, or not??
